Account Coordinator

The Account Coordinator provides day-to-day support across account teams. This includes daily media monitoring, media and influencer relations, social listening, conducting research, preparation of materials for clients including reports and presentations (writing), media and influencer campaign tracking and reporting and various administrative tasks as required by the team. Expected compensation for this role is $48,000–$52,000 annually, depending on level of experience.
What you’ll do:
- Assists account teams with media and influencer relations, including media pitching, influencer outreach and coverage tracking
- Leverages the use of monitoring tools to support daily media monitoring and provide intel to better understand our clients and to help account teams better advise clients
- Conducts research to support account team communications planning, audience insights and program development
- Creates and maintains comprehensive media, stakeholder, and influencer lists
- Prepares PowerPoint presentations, along with editing, formatting, and management of decks
- Drafts media materials such as pitches, press releases
- Assist with drafting client briefing notes, meeting requests, and materials such as backgrounders
- Creates, populates, and manages Excel spreadsheets
- Prepares results reports for clients
- Distributes press materials including press releases through newswire services
- Logistical support with event planning and influencer mailers
- Works with visual content assets such as infographics and video in support of social media strategies
- Assists with administrative tasks: team support, in-office meeting set-up, note taking, media training support, etc.
- Contributes to the firm’s commitment to equity, diversity, and inclusion
- Carries out all other reasonable duties assigned by the company
What you’ll bring:
- Completion of post-secondary education in public relations, communications, marketing, journalism, or a related field is considered an asset
- Completion of an internship / agency / related work experience is considered an asset
- Digitally literate, with proficiency in using digital/social media platforms and tools for business, (including Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, TikTok, LinkedIn, Google, etc.)
- Strong understanding of new and emerging social media tools
- Has an intermediate to advanced skill level in Microsoft Office applications (PowerPoint, Excel, Word, Teams etc.)
- Working proficiency of Adobe Creative Suite is considered an asset
- Proficiency with multiple languages is considered an asset

Work hours:
In keeping with our commitment to fostering an environment of collaboration, continuous growth, and flexibility, Proof Canada has a model of six (6) to eight (8) days per month of in-office work for each employee. Employees are entrusted to work a schedule that ensures their responsibilities are successfully carried out and that they are reachable by internal and external stakeholders. Although a set schedule / work location is not mandated by the company, there may be occasions when the company requires employees to attend events at a specific location, such as the office or client site. Full-time hours are typically performed during the business’ hours of operations, which are Monday – Friday 8:30am – 5:30pm, arrangements outside of this will be discussed and pre-authorized by your direct manager. Operation of a computer keyboard and mouse / trackpad will be required daily.
