Proof is a hybrid work environment, and this role would be located in our Toronto office. As a member of the Health & Wellness practice, you will not only have the opportunity to work on clients in the pharmaceutical and consumer health environments, but you will have exposure to and guidance from senior people in this practice group, as well as talented Proofers from across the agency – including those from other practice groups and our unified marketing communications team. What you’ll do:
- Manage media relations programs, including story development, pitching, and developing journalist relationships.
- Manage influencer relations programs including research and identification, negotiations, message development and ongoing management.
- Support social media campaigns.
- Content production for various purposes, including blogs, news releases, media advisories, presentations, whitepapers, and social content.
- Conduct research and insight gathering for clients and new business projects.
- Leverage the use of monitoring tools to support strategic initiatives and better understand our clients.
- Contribute to client calls and brainstorming meetings.
- Carry out all other reasonable duties assigned by the company.
What you’ll bring:
- Completion of post-secondary education in public relations, communications, marketing, journalism, or a related field is considered an asset.
- A minimum of 2-3 years of professional communications experience is required.
- Digitally literate, with proficiency in using digital/social media platforms and tools for business, (including Facebook, Instagram, X, TikTok, LinkedIn, Google, etc.).
- Strong understanding of new and emerging social media tools.
- Has an intermediate to advanced skill level in Microsoft Office applications (PowerPoint, Excel, Word, Teams etc.).
- Proven ability to develop relationships with media, influencers, and stakeholders.

- Problem Solving + Judgment: the ability to use good judgement, be resourceful, and effectively solve problems.
- Technical: a willingness to leverage and high-level of skill to optimize available technology and tools to effectively carry out tasks.
Bonus if you have:
- Existing experience within a marketing / communication agency.
- Experience with health and wellness clients, including pharmaceutical products.
- Knowledge of the Canadian health regulatory environment.
- Working proficiency of Adobe Creative Suite is considered an asset.
