Senior Consultant, Health & Wellness
APPLY NOWProof Strategies is seeking an eager candidate to join our Health & Wellness practice as a Senior Consultant. Proof is a hybrid work environment, and this role would be located in our Toronto office. As a member of the Health & Wellness practice, you will not only have the opportunity to work on clients in the pharmaceutical and consumer health environments, but you will have exposure to and guidance from senior people in this practice group, as well as talented Proofers from across the agency – including those from other practice groups and our unified marketing communications team. What you’ll do:
- Supports plan development, implementation, and account management including exposure to aspects of managing and tracking budgets.
- Ability to develop creative non-traditional, integrated programs while keeping client business objectives in mind.
- Leads aspects of accounts along or in collaboration with a senior colleague (e.g., owning aspect of project management, execution, earned media, pitching media) and learning and modelling leadership capabilities (e.g., exposure to strategy development and planning).
- Delegates, provides support and constructive feedback to Account Coordinators and Consultants.
- Understands client’s business and competitive landscape.
- Anticipates key issues and needs of clients; in partnership with senior support, provides counsel to client.
- Supports issues management work through activities such as messaging, materials development, etc.
- Collaborates with the team to participate in developing measurable goals for each campaign, generating results aligned with the strategy, measuring these results, and analyzing the best way to progress.
- Builds and fosters relationships with key partners including clients, influencers, media, and stakeholders.
- Identifies new and organic growth opportunities as part of Proof’s broader new business strategy.
- Carries out all other reasonable duties assigned by the company.
What you’ll bring:
- Completion of post-secondary education in public relations, communications, marketing, journalism, or a related field is considered an asset.
- A minimum of 5 years working in public relations, ideally including agency experience within the health care space.
- Knowledge of health industry trends and current affairs.
- Experience in earned, owned, and paid approaches to communications and marketing.

- Problem Solving + Judgment: resourceful, solution-oriented, and demonstrates good judgment for clients’ and Proof Strategies’ businesses.
- Technical: strategic social media thinking and skills (e.g., online listening and analysis, content development, engagement, etc.); solid proposal development and presentation skills.
Bonus if you have:
- Experience with health and wellness clients, including pharmaceutical products.
- Knowledge of the Canadian health regulatory environment
- Working proficiency of Adobe Creative Suite is considered an asset.
- Competence with multiple languages is considered an asset.
