Environics Communications Opens Ottawa Office
Toronto, November 21, 2011 – Environics Communications Inc., a full-service North American public relations agency announced today its continued expansion with the opening of an office in Canada’s capital city, Ottawa.
Located next to Parliament Hill in downtown Ottawa, the office is run by vice president Greg MacEachern, a government relations and communications veteran with over a decade of government and communications experience working at the Canadian federal, provincial and municipal level.
Established in 1994, Environics serves clients in the health sciences, association and non-profit, technology, financial services, and consumer goods and services sectors. Environics has several clients based in the Ottawa region, and represents several multi-national companies from varying industries.
“An office location within a few steps of Parliament Hill is essential for our clients,” said Bruce MacLellan, president, Environics Communications and a former Chief of Staff to a Minister. “Combined with our staff and expertise in Toronto, Montréal, Washington and San Francisco, we offer our clients the full spectrum of government relations, and traditional and digital communications services.”
The Environics Ottawa team offers a highly-specialized knowledge of public policy and advocacy within all levels of government and the strategic ability to motivate public policy makers into action through lobbying and communications. Recently joining the team is Michel Liboiron, bringing an extensive background in government communications strategies, approaches to policy implementation, and insider experience on Parliament Hill working as press secretary in the Office of the Leader of the Official Opposition, Honourable Michael Ignatieff. His experience also includes working in the Office of the Honourable Ralph Goodale and the Office of the Honourable Serge Joyal.
“Environics’ new Ottawa office extends Environics’ commitment to provide new and existing clients strategic, profile-building approaches to issues and coalition management, grassroots advocacy, policy development, and public education,” said Greg MacEachern, vice president.
The Ottawa location is Environics Communications’ second new office to open this year, following on the heels of the opening of its San Francisco office in June.
