Ranking tops the list for public relations and communications firms in Canada

TORONTO, ON, April 16, 2020 —  Proof Strategies, an independent Canadian public relations and communications agency, has placed 19th on the Best Workplaces™ in Canada ranking. The ranking is based on a thorough and independent analysis conducted by the Great Place to Work® Institute, a global people analytics and consulting firm that specializes in workplace trust.  Proof Strategies was the highest scoring public relations and communications company on the 2020 list. The list, and related stories, will appear in a Special National Report on Friday, April 17, 2020 in The Globe and Mail.

“Since we began over 25 years ago, building and maintaining workplace trust has been a top priority, and this has become more important than ever in times of great uncertainty, such as the current COVID-19 pandemic,” said Bruce MacLellan, CEO at Proof Strategies. “Our annual Proof CanTrust Index, the deepest and most comprehensive study of trust in Canada, underscores the importance of trust creation for organizations and leaders, and we are proud to practice what we preach in our workplace.”

Proof Strategies is known for doing great work, and being a great place to work, with a strong and supportive culture that enables team members to grow, thrive and be their best selves. Earlier this year, Proof Strategies was recognized by Great Place to Work for being among the best workplaces in Canada for women and, separately, for inclusion. Proof Strategies supports professional growth and personal development for its more than 200 team members across North America by encouraging staff to seek out courses, classes and other learning opportunities, a commitment that earned the company a score of 97 per cent in this area of the Trust Index Employee Survey.

This year’s list received over 400 registrations and over 80,000 employees participated in the 2020 Best Workplaces in Canada survey, rolling out to impact over 300,000 Canadian employees. The competition process is based on two criteria: two-thirds of the total score comes from confidential Trust Index Employee Survey results and the remaining one-third comes from an in-depth review of the organization’s culture. This offers a rigorous representation of the organization from an employee perspective, and an overall portrait of the workplace culture. Together, they provide crucial data relative to five trust-building dimensions: credibility, respect, fairness, pride and camaraderie.

“Placing in the Top 20 in the Great Place to Work ranking, as we’ve done again this year, demonstrates that our people have a high degree of trust towards management and the company, built on the twin pillars of integrity and competence,” said MacLellan. “In great workplaces, management must be both proficient at making decisions for the business but also do the right thing for people and the community. We take great pride at Proof Strategies for putting the right people in the right roles, positions and assignments to serve clients with excellence and provide outstanding growth opportunities.”
